Internet usage increased rapidly with the development in the information and communication technologies during the recent years. With increase of usage of internet, online business transactions became prevalent and term of “e-commerce” entered our lives. E-commerce was defines as “e-commerce is the sale or purchase of goods or services conducted over computer networks by methods specifically designed for the purpose of receiving or placing of orders.” by the World Trade Organization. In Turkey, applicable laws were inadequate against this new term and unable to ensure the security and development of electronic commerce. Therefore, it was compulsory to make new legal arrangements. In line with European Union regulations, Turkey made arrangements on electronic commerce with the Law of The Regulation of Electronic Commerce numbered 6563. Once this law will come in force, obligations of providers and sellers on pre-order and order stage, terms of commercial electronic communications and rights of buyer will be regulated. In this study; new implications of the Law of The Regulation of Electronic Commerce has been analysed.
