Ahmet Akgüloğlu is the managing partner of ATG Law Firm and he leads the Intellectual Property practice of the Firm.He is an attorney at law and a registered trademark and patent attorney before the Turkish Patent Institute. Mr Akgüloğlu leads all sub-departments of ATG Law Firm’s IP department – namely, IP litigation, IP prosecution and investigations.

For over 10 years of his experience, he has been advising his clients on IP strategies, complex IP litigation cases, anti-counterfeiting matters as well as IP prosecution work. Ahmet also specializes in domain name disputes, unfair competition law, internet law, IT and media law.

Mr Akgüloğlu has represented many high-profile domestic and international clients. He has extensive experience in all IP matters – including prosecution, litigation, enforcement, dispute resolution, unfair competition and client counselling and strategy in a range of legal actions in Turkey and overseas. Mr Akgüloğlu has carried out numerous litigation proceedings relating to IP law, especially in trademark, design and patent infringement, anti-counterfeiting matters, domain name disputes and unfair competition law. His active role in IP litigation has earned him an incontestable reputation before the Turkish IP courts.

Mr Akgüloğlu routinely advises clients on complex IP-related litigation matters and represents them before all levels of courts in Turkey.

Mr Akgüloğlu has published multiple articles relating to his practice of law. He also acts as a panellist before the National Arbitration Forum in domain name disputes.

Ahmet holds an LLB Degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law. Ahmet is also a trademark and patent attorney registered before the Turkish Trademark and Patent Office.

He is also an active panelist before the National Arbitration Forum for domain name disputes and he is a member of the Anti-counterfeiting Committee of the International Trademark Association. He has published numerous articles in many highly ranked publications.
